Rest the bamboo chasen in warm water for 30 seconds to soften the tines before first use.
Use the chashaku to add 1–2 scoops of matcha into the chawan, then pour 60ml of hot water (75–80°C).
Whisk in a W motion until frothy. Rinse tools with warm water only and let them air-dry on the whisk holder.
Never use soap on bamboo. Store the whisk on its holder to preserve its shape.
Each chawan bowl is wheel-thrown and glazed by hand. The chasen whisk is carved from a single piece of bamboo. Tools meant to last a lifetime, and turn a drink into a ritual.
